We're putting a radiologist within reach of every scan in Kenya

WinguRAD is built in Nairobi by MEMS Technology Solutions Ltd. Wingu is Kiswahili for cloud.

Why we built it

Across Kenya, hospitals have the machines but not always the radiologists. An X-ray taken in the morning can wait days for a report, or leave the building on a CD to find one.

We built WinguRAD so the study can travel instead of the patient. The radiographer scans, the study goes to the cloud, a radiologist reads it from wherever they are, and the signed report comes back to the facility, with the images a scan away on the patient's phone.

We charge per signed report, in shillings, through M-Pesa, because that's how Kenyan facilities buy. No licences, no servers to keep running in a back room.

How we work

  • Radiologists make the call

Software moves studies and saves time. The diagnosis is always a qualified radiologist's.

  • Patient data has an owner

Studies belong to the facility and the patient. Each person sees only what their role needs.

  • Built for Kenyan connections

Everything runs in a browser and works on ordinary broadband and 4G, not only on hospital fibre.

  • Plain prices

You pay per signed report, with prices on our website. No surprise invoices.
